Subject: Divine Appointment #3
I am continually blown away by our Father. Our first day on our new campus, I stopped a girl to ask where I could pick up the bus to head back home. Her English…perfect. A few days later we started texting and decided to meet for lunch with her, Viv, Kay and I. We met for dishes…her choice was spicy cow intestines, somehow always a favorite. Getting to know her was a lot of fun, she is such an interesting girl. She began to ask what our Chinese names were which provided a natural opportunity to talk about God. My last name in Chinese is Wang, which means King. I got to tell her that I was a daughter of King…King Jesus. From that point we got to talk about the Lord in a really open fashion. She began to tell us that she had been waiting her whole life for someone to tell her about God. Wow! Viv, Kay and I had just been praying that morning that we would be able to naturally tell our friend Alicia and He answered our prayers. We’ve been asking that God would bring us the ones whom He has been working on their hearts and are open to Him. He did it! We got to tell Alicia after she asked us how she could get to know Him, that God Himself had placed this desire in her heart to know Him. She was blown away. She told us at the end of our meal that when we talked about other things our faces were one way, but every time we talked about God our faces lit up and that she would never forget the way we looked when we talked about our God. Please pray that God would meet her in a special way this week and that she would be available to study the Word with us.
Please pray for my allergies…some days are good and others are really bad. I miss you and love you all!!
