Plan of Salvation

Church Government
We are committed to walking in accountability and submission to the authorities that God places in our lives (Hebrews 13:17). Spiritual oversight provides direction, vision and protection for us individually and for our family as a whole.  We desire that those in areas of authority at Cornerstone also set the example for the rest of the church in the areas of serving, giving, worship, devotion and prayer.

Cornerstone Christian Fellowship of Midland is a Texas Nonprofit Corporation established in 1985.  Cornerstone Christian Fellowship is governed by a Board of Elders consisting of three to seven men who are selected by the Board of Elders to serve as Elders based on scriptural qualifications as found in the Bible. The oversight and responsibility of the Elders are defined in scripture and their function as Directors of the Nonprofit Corporation are found in the By-laws of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship.

Governmental oversight of local church matters, vision for our ministries, as well as the personal support for our staff and leaders, is provided by the Board of Elders. The Board of Elders oversees the strategic and financial health of the church. The board serves the church by holding the staff and leaders accountable to the vision and mission of the church. A President, elected by the Elder Board, serves as the chairman of the Board of Elders, presiding at all meetings and supervising all business and affairs of the church. The Board meets weekly and reviews needs of the church, financial statements, proposed expenditures and ministry planning.
