The Bible reminds us that kids are chosen by God to do extraordinary things. Take David, for example, he was a kid when he stood for God and defeated the mighty giant Goliath. We prepare kids to take a stand for God in today’s world. Taking a stand for God in our society today as a kid is a great accomplishment and something we want to reward and encourage.
Here at Cornerstone our 5 to 12 year-olds are taught, encouraged and rewarded in our Children’s Church and our Children’s Small Groups. Our vision is to see every one of our kids become Spirit-filled Christians who know and apply God’s word in their lives. Our Children’s Ministry reinforces and works with the Dads and Moms of our kids in order to see this vision realized. Our Children’s Church service is on Sunday mornings immediately following the Praise and Worship time in the Adult service. Children ages 5 thru 10 years old are welcome to attend this special service which includes music, drama, videos, Bible stories and group activity. In Children’s Church our kids make Christian friendships that last all the way through High School. Children’s Church is located in the first large classroom on your left as you enter the classroom wing on the West side of the Sanctuary.
On Wednesday nights, Cornererstone offers Pioneer Clubs to children ages 4 years through 3rd grade.
Cornerstone’s annual VBS is a highlight for the Children’s Ministry and utilizes many volunteers from the senior adults through the high school students in the Eminent Youth Ministry to minister to the kids throughout the week. Camping trips and special events are also a regular part of this ministry, building bonds between the kids and parents alike.
