Cornerstone Christian Fellowship strives to be a church of people who are surrendered to… 

  1. Being transformed by the renewing of our mind through the truth of God’s word as the standard by which we live. 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Romans 12:2 
     
  2. Living a life that conveys Jesus to the people around us through our words, attitudes and actions.   Galatians 5:22-23 
     
  3. Living worthy of being called a follower of Christ in humility, gentleness, patience, tolerance, love, unity and peace. Ephesians 4 
     
  4. Seeking God’s presence on a daily basis through prayer, dwelling on God’s word and continual filling of the Holy Spirit.  1 Thessalonians 3:17, Romans 12:2 
     
  5. Praying fervently for the needs of the body, leaders and the direction of God.  1 Timothy 2:1-8
     
  6. Preserving the unity of the body of Christ while also respecting the diversity of the body and the specific needs of each part of the body.  1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4 
     
  7. Developing people to become mature disciples of Christ and then facilitating the use of their God given talents and abilities, spiritual gifts and calling to change the world around them.  2 Timothy 2:2 
     
  8. Being accountable to one another and receiving Godly correction and insight. Proverbs 11:14, 15:22, 19:20, 27:17 
     
  9. Being a place that is warm, friendly and inviting where people can expect to experience the presence of the Lord.  1 Peter 4:8-10, Romans 12:12-14 
     
  10. Offering the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ in church gatherings, outreaches to the community and in our daily lives. Those who receive this gift are encouraged to follow Christ’s instructions to be baptized in water as an outward sign of the inward change. All believers are challenged to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit as the power to live an effective life in Christ. Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:5,8, Acts 2: 1-4 
     
  11. Giving back to the Lord from our resources, talents and time recognizing that all good things come from God.  Luke 6:38, 2 Corinthians 9:6-12 
     
  12. Embracing the work of the Holy Spirit in individual lives as evidenced by all of the fruits of the Spirit and in the congregation as evidenced by the manifestation of all of the gifts the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23, 1 Corinthians 12, 13, 14 
     
  13. Being a place of spiritual growth and safety under the spiritual covering and authority of Jesus Christ, the Word of God and the Elders/Overseers submitted to the leading of the Holy Spirit.  All things being done properly and in an orderly manner recognizing that God is not a god of confusion but of peace.  Acts 20:28-30; 1 Peter 5:1-3, Colossians 1:17-19; 1 Corinthians 14:33, 40 
     
  14. Supporting missionary efforts to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world and in whatever way the Holy Spirit directs us.  Matthew 28: 18-20; Acts 1:8
